scene kid

First off I would like to state that in no way was this meant to be derogatory to anybody of any subculture and I actually enjoy the scene and your scene kids and do not wish to offend.
The typical scene kid can be noticed by the following;
-black teased medium length hair with red, pink, or blonde streaks in the underlayers
-tight dark blue jeans with a taper to them in most cases.
-if the scene girl chooses to don a skirt than black 3/4 leggings are appropriate attire to match.
-heavy well done make-up throughout the eye area for men...
-... and to add you have sometimes a pattern of stars from the corner of the eye(dots and other objects are also acceptable.)also they usually don a small amount of blush to make their cheeks rosy.
-tight band t- shirts (black or a bright colour) or a random t-shirt
-large framed sunglasses(Chanel, Dolce&Gabanna, Versace etc.)
-you can usually find them accesorizing with a bandanna of some colour on their bodies.
-usually slip on flat shoes or converse chuck taylor high tops.
-gauged(stretched) ear holes
-facial piercings
-tattoos
-tight longsleeves or jackets with a faux fur trim
-studded leather belts with impressive buckles or a regular buckle off to the side.

That is how i would define your average scene kid, however whereever you go there is always going to be some form of difference based on that area's current trends.

That group of fashionXcore kids are so scene.
With Backcombed hair like that it's no doubt they're scene.
OMG Sonny Moore is such a scene kid!

Scene Kid

n. - This species has been called a plague as well as a blessing. This from of human originated in the 80's will poofy haired women that went to Ozzy shows and Def Lepard Shows. A scene kid was called, back then, a poser or a faker or as the aptly named Groupie. Then in the 90's a new generation of S.K. was born that adored Backstreet boys, N'Sync and other Pop groups. After the R & B, Rap crowd dominated the charts, S.K. took shelter in Pop-punk and grunge. All S.K. claim that Kurt Cobain is there Hero. When the new decade came along the S.K. evolved and grew to be obsessed with a new style of music...EMO (See Emotional Rock). S.K. found a way to release emotions by listening to rich bands wine and complain and tell there listeners to cut them selves and end it all...which many S.K. attempt, and fail due to the fact they do it wrong. "It's down the road...Not across the street." As the EMO scene became a popular thing S.K. Became the anti-conformists we know today and went completely against the mainstream media and started listening to Indie bands that know one had heard of up to this point. Somewhere down the line, every S.K. would convert to being Bi-curios. Though they never actually go out with the same sex...they kiss them at parties and during "Extreme Truth-or-Dare." Straight Edge falls into the equation in the early millennium. sXe is a group, rather, a cult that says smoking, drugs, alcohol and sex is off limits. There are more loopholes in this rule and drugs available and the sXe kids, eventually, fall apart and break away into other groups. Soon every S.K. develops the need to smoke cigarettes and have sex with people they know for one day or two. Which leads to a massive STD break out in young teens. Later S.K. find a new style of music to lead them into their search for uniqueness and freedom from conformity...Hardcore. Hardcore, or hXc, Myspace-core and Scene-core, originated from Tough guy Hardcore and Metal music. Hardcore dancing, or Slam Dancing, also came along. After hXc came into their lives, S.K. felt the need to stay so far from the norm that they needed to dye there hair to match the many colors of rainbow. As S.K. grew in numbers the clothes seemed to shrink to the point they have "muffins" or the point at which their sides hang over their pants. Belts are worn outside the loops and one eye is seen at all times. Attention suicide continues and lung cancer starts earlier and earlier each year. Gauges in ears have reached an outstanding size as well as huge veiwer rates on Fuse and a increase in Forever 21's customers.

In conclusion...
A Scene Kid will always be around and will always either haunt us or give us a way to "break free" from conformity. But no one seems to realize...Scene Kids is just another way...to piss off everyone else. And It seems to be working.

Scene Kid

Scene is a fashion sence that many people make fun of because it was derrived from the emo culture.

We in fact are NOT NOT NOTTT emo, at all, but beauty whores who enjoy having their hair cut in a certain fashion and like dressing a certain way like straight legged jeans, band tshirts, etc. Also we love the idea of body piercings and tattoos. Alot of scene kids have their lip pierced. Also, they refer to themselves as "hard core" also shown as the symbol "HxC".

Many scene girls me being one love putting bows in their hair and love wearing big sunglasses. Also a popular thing with scene girls is to wear cute "baby doll" tops with cute prints such as cupcakes, cherries, etc. Many scene girls I have seen seem to like the horizontal "racoon" stripes in parts of thier hair. Also, fake eyelashes are a big thing.

Scene boys on the other hand have the emo boy hair cut, with more flair, and most are either gay or bi because no straight guy is obsessed with fashion that much. As far as what they seem to wear, i have seen many with band t's or hoodies. Oh, and tight jeans with plenty of makeup such as eyeliner, eye shadow, fake eye lashes, etc.

Jeffree Star is the best example of a true scene kid even tho he may not say so.

scene kid

Lets get this straight. Most of you all seem to steriotype that scene kids will ALWAYS wear skin-tight jeans, which we don't. Their is a brand of skinnies called DILLON skinnies, which are slightly skinny, but not skin tight.

Our hair is not ALWAYS multicolored, although we DO like it.

We don't ONLY wear band tee's. We wear an assortment of shirts. We love jackets, too. EXCEPT such brands as Abercrombie, Hollister, American Eagle etc. IF you wear these brands, and claim to be scene, LOOK AGAIN.

We do mostly wear Converse and Vans, although there are other brands that we like.

We do have a fascination with cutesy things.

In some areas, people are prejiduced against us "Look at that gay-a** scene kid." -_-

We highly enjoy company an insiders, then again, who doesn't.

Getting 90 bazillion friends on a social networking site is NOT our goal.

We enjoy most kinds of music, EXCEPT country, and its variations.

Person 1: All scene kids look alike.
Person2 2: BS. Our colors diiferentiate us. SUCKIT HO.

Scene Kid

Basically a hybrid between a prep and an emo kid. In many urban areas being a scene kid is someone's way of being able to be a little different while still being cool with the popular preppies. Scene kids attire includes tight, neon colored pants, punk and metalcore band T shirts, and hoodies from Hollister or an alike brand that are obviously too small to fit them. Depending on where you live, Scene kids can either be extremley nice or complete jerks. Many scene kids are obsessed with random, child cartoon figures such as HelloKitty or The Rugrats. Scene Kids are usually not liked very well by other group such as Metalheads, Gangsters and Stoners. Scene kids will often not refer to themselves as "Scene" especially when called that by an outsider. They will refer to themselves as some random name they've made up from hip-hop slang. Such as "Bro kids" or "Hustla Groupas".
Scene kids usually listen to Metalcore, Electrocore, Deathcore, Punk, Hardcore and Alernative Rock. Scene kids DO NOT listen to Metal. Many scene kids see Metalheads as ignorant and jerks and yet they're constantly trying to copy their music and make it sound a bit more punkish.

Scene kid 1: Hey d00d lets go ask that Metalhead if he has any Bring me the Horizon on his Mp3!"
Scene kid 2: "K lol dude my pants are so tight I can't feel my balls anymore."
