A very powerful machine that rivals the upcoming PS3 and Nintendo Wii. There is huge split between fanboys as seen right here in urban dictionary. Who will win the console war? An quick analysis shows that PS3 (like PS2) is more likely to sell more consoles and sell more games. However, as said by many, online is the way to go. More and more games are coming as online games. Xbox has dominated and will continue to dominate The Playstation series in online games.
1: Hey what is better?
2: PS3 for offline, Xbox 360 for online, and Wii just to add to your collection
1: Are you saying that one doesn't have any offline games and the other only does?
2: No, that is just what they are known for. PS3 will have socom (and will be a great name if they go on the RIGHT path) and of course, xbox has games such as fable and ninja gaiden that are great offline and upcoming versions shall be as well.

The most amazing console ever. Totally put the beatdown on the sucktacular PS3. Also has fantastic online play. It has been known to greatly increase sex appeal.

Xbox 2 now dubbed as the xbox 360 apparently because they think consumers are stupid enough to souly buy a PS3 over a Xbox 2 because 3 is greater then 2. IT wil be the first next gen. game system lauched and will have the worst graphics of the 3. This is simply because it the first one out the door, the same reason xbox 1 is more powerful then ps2 it came out more then a year later. as of right now it willnot be backwards compatable with xbox 1 games due to the fact that it will use a moddified G5 chip rather then a pentium (x86) chip like in the Xbox 1. It also unlike the other next gen systems will not support either of the next gen. DVD's that are coming out (HD-DVD, and Blu-ray discs). Also unlike the xbox 1 it will not have a hard drive as of now . A hard drive might be an accesory though. Microsoft is very keen on capturing the biggest market share witht he next - gen partly because it is microsoft and partly because they lost a lot of mony on the Xbox 1 due to its poor sales in japan and because they are so heavily subsidized.

All those who think it is a 400 dollar way to play Halo3 is retarded. The ps3 is a 600 dollar way to play...................... oh wait there are no games for the ps3. And any games they did have are availible for the 360 too and some are now exclusive to the 360.
The Xbox 360 pwns the Ps3.
For the price if a PS3 you could buy a Wii and a 360.

A console manufactured by Microsoft in order to be sold as a "Next generation Xbox" and squeeze their few faithful client's pockets for a scam, because it doesn't include next-generation media like Blu-ray or HD-DVD, it's not enabled to be wirelessly connected (to the internet) right out of the box, it doesn't include a mandatory Hard Drive like the actual generation's, it doesn't support all three Hi-Definition modes (720p, 1080p, 1080i; just the first two) when it brags about Hi-Definition, it makes the smallest graphic's leap in console gaming history, it doesn't support it's predecessor's games natively (they are emulated, and not all of the games will be playable), it supports less controllers than the competition (only four), and it mostly includes sequels. All this when the competition includes what this silly object does not.
Also known as Xbox 360, an Xbox 360 1.5 (Or Xbox 1.5 1.5, whichever you choose to call it) is well under way too, because Microsoft has considered adding an almost next-generation (because its counterpart is in fact the next-generation for sporting higher capacity and more layer potential) disc, the soon to be obsolete HD-DVD player (but not for games, just for movies in an obsolete format by then), and maybe a TiVo two or three years after the Xbox 1.5 launch, alienating its earliest consumers while at the same time making it able to struggle with the competition, that will be already sporting these features and more the day it launches, or more accurately, two years before xbox 1.5 1.5 is launched.
I just bought my Xbox 1.5, and it quickly became obsolete.
The Xbox 1.5's successor will be called Xbox 1.5 1.5.
The Xbox 1.5 is the best console because I actually have to pay for a service that is free.
