F.O.L.O. (Fear Of Losing Orders)

"F.O.L.O." or β€œ#FOLO” is an acronym for "Fear of Losing Orders". It refers to the emotions felt by people waiting in their homes for packages to be delivered. These emotions range from excitement and apprehension about when the parcel will arrive, to the boredom of waiting at home all day for a parcel, or annoyance as you stare out the window on a sunny day that you’re unable to enjoy.

Symptoms:

Fear of taking showers in case you miss the doorbell;

Incessantly looking through door viewer or window for delivery drivers;

Over-sensitivity to any noise that may resemble a delivery van;

Constant refreshing of delivery apps to check for updates.

Fortunately, there’s a solution for F.O.L.O. Systems like smart intercoms that allow people to answer their apartment intercoms from anywhere and remotely buzz visitors into their building with a smartphone.

β€œI haven’t left the house all day, I have major F.O.L.O. (Fear Of Losing Orders) ”
β€œMy old intercom is giving me F.O.L.O. (Fear Of Losing Orders) ”
β€œLooks like they have a bad case of F.O.L.O. (Fear Of Losing Orders) ”

George Thorogood ( the drink order )

A George Thorogood is a name of a drink order which consists of One Bourbon, One Scotch and One Beer, (of course referring to the artist and his song of the same name) . This tripple drink in usually ordered in a bar by someone who, for whatever personal reason, has the specific intent to get plastered as quickly as possible. The three drinks are fully consumed in this specific order, usually just before belching and ordering another round.

John ( to Bartender ) : ...yeah, gimme a George Thorogood...

Steve (to Rick) : Shit ! John just ordered a George Thorogood ( the drink order ) !

Rick (to Steve) : Let him be, man, he just broke up with Sally...

Steve (to Rick) : Oh, I see. I didn't know... I'll get his car keys off of him...

12th General Order of a Sentry

The 11 general orders refers to the Marine Corps guidlines for keeping watch during fire watch. Now only the Marine Corp has 11 however the Marines made one adition the 12th general order which is "To walk my post from flank to flank and take no shit from any rank"

so if a corporal is on guard and is instructed to let no one in for any reason and an officer demands entrance this is where the 12th General order of a Sentry comes into play, the corporal must tell the officer to leave and use force if neccessary, although under normal circumstances such an act would get the corporal demoted

3/4 New Order

This is the definition of the new slang name of the band New Order after the departure of founding member bassist Peter Hook.
The band New Order now only has 3 of it 4 original members. Peter Hooks bass style and sound was an integral part of the bands distinctive sound from it's very beginnings.

Hey are you going to see New Order next week? No. I'm not going. I'm just not that into 3/4 New Order.

he orders Rieslings at the bar

A code phrase to identify someone in public space as a homosexual.

Did you meet Ted? I think he orders Rieslings at the bar. Especially after seeing him pay for it with money from his purse.

Disloyal Order of Water Buffaloes

Probably the best song on Fall Out Boy's new album 'Folie Γ  Deux'. It starts slowly and then evolves into a massive catchy pop-punk song.

Fall Out Boy's best song is Disloyal Order Of Water Buffaloes
