The modern term for adelphopoiesis, a medieval Christian ceremony uniting two men (or less often, two women) in a bond similar to heterosexual matrimony. Although adelphopoiesis vows resembled traditional marriage vows, they did not include a sanction of sexual relations between the couple.

The ability of two people in the US to enjoy certain benefits alotted to them for BS religious reasons. Marriage is unconstitutional, but what's even worse than that is banning only gays from it for religiosu reasons. You know where else gays can't get married? Nigeria, the Phillipines, Iran, places full of religious nuts. Oh, and just to be sure, Christianity is completely anti-gay. It comes from the New Testament, from Paul. He says they deserves to die, and compares them to all the worst sins of the world (also says non-believers and idolaters need to die, too, just to be fair). Romans 1:18-32
