The art of not doing what you're supposed to and instead just doing nothing. It's most commonly seen in middle school students. They will do absolutely nothing just to not do their homework.
"hey friend, are you procrastinating again?"
"yes, of course. why wouldn't I?"
"But you should do your work" "no"
This is when you’re depressed and you have things to do but you dont really care anymore, so you say things like “fuck this ill just unalive later anyways”
Example of suicidal procrastination
Friend 1: “man im missing like 5 assignments in this class, hows yours going?”
Friend 2: “im missing most of them but i dont really care cuz ima kms later anyways”
Friend 2: “you good bro?”
When your Chicago friend comes in and procrastinates for the entire night without doing a single piece of work from class.
My friend is such a Procrastinating Pizza
When all the consequences of your procrastination comes crashing on you at once. Yup, they have come home to roost.
It's the first day of work after the long Christmas holidays. For all the times I've said, I'll deal with aht next year! Now the Procrastination Roosters have come home (to roost).
Something Dan Howell is.
Dan: My therapist said that I'm a procrastinating workaholic. Because once I start working on something, I work so hard that I injure myself by forgetting to breathe and do all this other stuff. I just have a problem getting started. For me, it's like a perfectionism thing. Like, I can't just do something and try my best. I'm like, "If I do this thing, it has to be amazing." It doesn't matter if it's an essay, a YouTube video or tidying my bedroom. I'll be like, "If I do this, I have to DO it, man!" And that's the thing, I put this fear in myself. If I were just someone who was like, "I can just do it." You know, roll with the punches. Go with the flow of life. But for me, it's like a perfectionism thing. It's that I know that when I start it, I am going to work so hard that I'm going to be bleeding. Because I care too much, because I'm a freak. I'm definitely someone that cares.
When you are dreading and worrying about doing something so much you do it earlier than intended.
"Did you do your homework last night"
"Yeah, I was gonna wait till 8 but I anti-procrastinated and did it at 7"
When you're getting ready to leave the house and someone is taking too long getting ready so you engage in a time consuming activity until the other person is done getting ready. But when the person is done, you're still busy with your activity so they start doing something else as well. And when you finish, they're still busy... and it goes on and on. You're usually habitually late.. to everything.
Katie: "Hey, are you guys on your way yet?"
Amanda: "No, Ryan and I are still stuck in procrastination overlap."
