American music group from Gary Indiana that emerged onto the pop scene in late 1969. They scored 4 early number ones and were considered the top musical act of 1970. They went on to have a successful career at Motown until they switched to the Epic Records label under their new name, The Jacksons, in 1976.

When an event or a new piece of equipment has been hyped up, had a huge amount of money spent on it and it fails miserably to do what it is supposed to do. Word is in reference to the London Heathrow Terminal 5 fiasco.
Eric: 'Have you seen the new storage system; I've heard it's a Terminal 5 ?'
Geoff: 'Oh yeah mate, just been out to see it, they've got the technician in, it's out of order for the rest of the week!'

5-0 became a slang term for law enforcement (aka police) after the hit show "Hawaii Five-O". The show was centered around a fictional division inside the State-Police of Hawaii and carried the same name as the television show ("Hawaii Five-0". The division's name gets its origin from honoring the fact that Hawaii was the 50th state to become apart of the United States of America.
On a side note, the division was actually called "Hawaii Five-0" (as in Zero, no the letter "o") but IMDB has the show listed with the letter "o" in the tittle.
The Five-0 (5-O)had set-up a speed trap and gave me a hefty ticket!
