Skidrow-on-Sea

Brighton. A now run down former grand seaside resort on the south coast of England. So named by Private Eye due to its frequent mentions in their "Rotten Boroughs" column.

Skidrow-on-Sea's attitude to the private car is 30 years behind the times.

semi by the sea

An innocuous name for an erection (or 'semi hardon').

The phrase originated from the James Blunt song 'Wisemen'. In which, 'Those three Wise Men' are cited as having 'a semi by the sea' (of course, in reality, they are referring to a semi-detached house).

The word has become increasingly used among British and some American internet forums.

"Oh my god...these photos of Keeley Hazel are giving me a full on semi by the sea lolololol"

Established in 1977, Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (SSCS) is an international non-profit, marine wildlife conservation organization whose mission is to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world’s oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species.

Sea Shepherd, and the heroes who operate under their name, just saved 500 whales from being slaughtered by Japanese poachers! They will continue to put their lives on the line to protect innocent marine life from being massacred, ILLEGALLY I might add.

So, Piss off for calling Sea Shepherd terrorists. You have no idea what you are talking about. The only objective is clear, to slander... :-(

sea beef

Sea beef is another name for lobster. The term was coined in the late 1990’s by grade 12 economics student Michael Wang when he proved that lobster is a perfect economic substitute for beef. When studying the decline in demand for beef during the mad cow scare, Wang noticed that lobster demanded levels rose in direct collation with the declining consumption of beef. Wang wrote a B+ paper on the subject entitled β€˜The Beef of the Sea’.

He ordered a sea beef for dinner.

Deep Sea

Deep Sea- A common phrase which no one knows what its true meaning is, it is used in the dive community in a serious manner by people who tend to get erect around the same gender, but it is sometimes used in a non-serious, almost mocking manner by those folks who can't be bothered to care.

" Dude I just did 10 crossfit pulllups " , " Wow thats so Deep Sea." ( Serious )

" If you can't recite the entire dive manual, then I guess your not Deep Sea " ( Non- serious)
