beach bike

a bicycle with handlebars so wide you are almost forced to ride without any hands, big wheels to compensate for sandy grounds, and as little hardware on them as possible; come in any color you want and almost any shape; want a basket? you can have one; want THREE wheels? go for it, beach bikes got them too; hook on a surfboard and your in business; then drop in in the dunes and your ready to go

also...something a real beach bum would easily choose over a license and a bmw any day

"hey lets go surfing"
"sure let me get my keys..."
"R YA KIDDING?! yo im just taking my beach bike. peace."

bike shedding

Another name for Parkinson's Law of Triviality. It's when an individual or group fixates on discussing trivial issues or ones way outside their area of expertise because the pressing issues they actually need to resolve are too hard for them to constructively engage with.

You know you're the victim of bike shedding when a colleague wants to call a meeting to discuss his face-palmingly idiotic suggestions for your project while deliberately ignoring critical problems of their own that they don't know how to fix or get started with.

Developer: The CEO wants to be involved in the website redesign
Marketing: And the COO too. Pure bike shedding.

Pasty Bike

A bicycle used for (but not exclusively) the collection of pasties and pies either for an individual but often a conglomerate of friends or colleagues.

A pasty bike is generally fully functioning, albeit with a slightly dull or dishevelled appearance, such that it could be left unattended outside a public house or bakery with no fear of it being stolen. Handlebar baskets and a bottle carriers are recommended but not compulsory.
Also used for single or return trips to the pub, confectionery collections and other low profile trade deals.

1)"Bloody hell Geoffrey its 10:05 the boys are ravenous. Wheres the grub at?"
"I'll send the apprentice out on the pasty bike"

2) "see that shitty looking bike lay outside the pub?"

"Idiot! that's a pasty bike"

mig bike

Mig Bike (or Big Mike) is that one kid who plans to be a future army soldier in high school. He seems like a tough guy in hindsight but when you get to know him he can be a real gentle giant. You might know Mig Bike as a man of strong character, he's got a tight build, tall, can perform a fifty rep lying close-grip bar curl on a high pulley effortlessly and a standing one-arm dumbbell curl over an incline bench if he's really in the mood to rip some clut. For this greased beast getting pussy is always in the utmost priority. If you're of the XX chromosomal variety and happen to cross this macho man's path, happen to smell the scent of masculinity emanating from his presence, it is by the virtue of his existence that you jism buckets.

"man that ginger in French is a real asshole"
"chill, he's just a mig bike"
