Death seat

The seat on a bus on the very back row in the middle. Chances are if the bus brakes suddenly the person in the "Death Seat" will be thrown forwards and be propelled down the aisle.

Person 1 was sitting in the death seat when the bus driver slammed the brakes on. Person 1 was thrown forward onto their face in the aisle whilst person 2, 3 and 4 laughed hysterically.

poop seat

The traditional name for a toilet on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts.

Popular use throughout New England began in the height of the old whaling days. When sailors returned from their long voyages, they were so excited to be able to sit down to defecate.

While the phrase is no longer used outside of Nantucket, it is still customary, particularly amongst the locals, to use the expression while on the island.

"Pardon me, is there a poop seat I can use?"

"The house has four bedrooms and two and half poop seats."

"Does anyone have to use the poop seat before we leave?"

I was in the catbird seat all the way from Phoenix to Tulsa, hardly never got below 75.

When you have a specific and favourite seat, and your friend or partner let's someone else sit there instead. Paramount to betrayal as it is YOUR spot. you own that spot.

Person 1: Hey, did you let someone use my seat?
Person 2: Yeah why?
Person 1: That's MY seat. I claimed Seat ownership.
Person 2: You can't own a seat position!

To be with child and therefore unable to hold any semblance of your former social life or personal identity. This runs the gamut of all active parents, whether they disappear because they are committed to their new role, or if they reluctantly and resentfully accept the role after receiving a positve paternity test in a state that's all but banned abortion.
