Love... chances are you've heard this world spoken many times. You could have heard it around you, in a song, in a movie, or perhaps you've said it or have had it said to you. The chances also are that this world may not have held much meaning. Love could be such a strong word, but the fact remains that it's been said so many times it's almost hard to determine when it's actually meant. If said to someone who's not related and a potential 'significant other', this word can be dangerous. Oftentimes it's used as a trick, to get something out of another person. However, there's always one time, one glimmer in the dark, when someone speaks it and it holds the true meaning. Have you ever seen an old couple argue, and then moments later talk on like nothing happened? That's love. They're so comfortable with each other they can handle it. Have you ever seen a young girl, perhaps 10, say something to the extent of, "I love my boyfriend, we've been dating for a week and every time I see him I get butterflies in my stomach!"? That's NOT love. That's something else, something I've yet to understand.
Love is a truly great feeling, if you're lucky enough to truly feel it. It's like a roller-coaster, only it involves your mental being also. It's truly indescribable, though I know that love knows no age. I also know that yes, it does hurt when it's over. Not all love lasts forever... sometimes it's too young to withstand distance, or even the corrosion of time. Of all the things I've learned in school... the one thing I'm the most certain of is something they could never teach in a classroom. Love is most certainly worth the ride, even when it ends. Never regret something that once made you smile, and hold fast to the memories, not the emotions.
Love is said way too often, but a mother and her child, or an old couple... those are two perfect examples. Love can belong to family and friends too, you know. Not just someone who you 'like'.

Now I kno what love is. The anamalistic desire for someone to tell u you mean something to them, to life. And now I kno what broken hearted is. The sick realization that the love you gave was not returned……..and that u mean nothing to anyone. Love is only a synonyme for passionate pain. Love is heaven in hell. Love is a mirage. Love is nothing. yet love is everything. Love is not what you see in the media. Love is the simple desire for someone to care…..and the simple retch you feel when you realize that they do not care. It is mental, physical, and emotional. Love sux. Love rox. For the simplist definition. Love is the emotion of life. So don’t say you love me. You are only saying that you think I am your life. I am not your life. You were my life. Therefore I can say I loved you.

When she is the first person you think of when you wake up, and the last person you think of at night. you think about her all day and cant wait to here from her. During class your just waiting for your phone to vibrate because you know its a text from her or when your around your computer your just waiting to here your aim go off because you know its her. when you text her even when you know she cant respond because you just like having her on your mind and the focus of your attention. When you will make up any excuse to see or be with her. When your with her nothing else matters. When she holds you, you feel safe, as if nothing in the world can bother you, and truth be told, nothing could, because when your with her, everything is perfect. When she is your best friend. When she is the one you could tell anything to and she will always be there to listen and comfort you. When she is the one that you wanttt to tell every little thing to. When you know you couldnt live without her. When seeing her makes you happy no matter how bad of a mood you were in. She is the one you could talk to for hours...and do...every night until ridiculous hours of the morning despite having tests, finals, or other major events the next day. When you suprise her at school just to see the look on her face when she sees you. And finally, when you have and feel "the energy". The energy is the feeling you have whenever you think of her, this feeling combines all of the things i have talked about. When your with her, you feel this energy even more, its overwhelming but you love it. You love it because it tells you your love is real, and you know she loves you back if she can relate to this energy, if she feels the same thing you do. <3 08/23/2008-forever

a word that has lost all its meaning in the past decade.
what was previously used as a word expressed after months of dating and when a person realized they couldnt live without the other, is now what horny 13 year olds say to eachother after talking on myspace for about 3 days.
How to determine if the guy you like is completely bullshitting when he says he loves you:
-theres evidence he tells every girl he talks to he loves them.
-He says "i love you" then asks you to flash for him
-Tells you he will love you if you strip for him.
-chances are, 99.9 precent of the time that guy doesnt mean shit by the word love, and "i love you" can be translated to wow your hot, and your here, and even though i dont actually give a shit about you as a person and your my 2nd,3rd,4th,5th, etc. choice for a girl ill tell you i love you anyways cuz then maybe i can get in yr pantss!!!!=D

When two people want for nothing more than to be together for as long as they live.
When they call each other during the day just to tell the other that they love them.
When you hold them and never want to let go, even if you were sitting out in the pooring rain with nothing but a hoody and jeans, you wouldn't want to let them go.
When you don't have to act differently around the other one, if they love you then they won't mind how you act.
When you look deep into the others' eyes and they look back, and you never want to look away, just to be with the other forever.
When saying goodbye hurts, even if it's only temporary, you can't bare to leave them.
When being with them is the happiest feeling in the world, and kissing them is even better.
When you give them your heart and trust them not to break it or hurt you in any way.
When even if you do hurt them they still love you, and even if they wish they could hate you so the pain would go away they simply can't.
Love can hurt. But most of the time love is the happiest feeling in the world.
