A human person who is socially allowed (there is some debate on this point) to simultaneously have people skills and become extremely excited about certain subjects such as grammar, science or World of Warcraft. Some non-nerds (or "normals") may participate in these subjects, but true nerds care way too much about them. They also become very excited about the distinction between themselves and the spawn of the devil, The Geeks.
1 (nerd): "OMG Star Trek=so awesome!"
2 (normal): "Yeah it was cool, whatever..."
3 (geek): "U retards u didnt even c teh warp drive had no effect on teh redshift of teh celectial bodies, how can u live wit ur dum ass brains, u butt munchin poop slingerzzz!!!!(#*!(**@@!!!!"

people that think when people make fun of they are actually scared when infact we're not. They are the social outcasts that think they will one day change the world when we already have everything we need. They are often seen talking to each other with their shirts tucked in and pants pulled all the way up talking about world of warcraft or any other game that's not call of duty. Thinks they have friends that aren't nerds when infact people are just trying to be nice because they feel bad. Their shyness often contributes to having no social life.
I am not a nerd but i am smart. I do wear glasses but i don't play online pc games and i am not obsessed with working. Infact i might be the laziest person you could meet with periods of actually getting something done. I like sexy girls and im popular. And i get more than 1 hug a day and it's not from nerdy chicks but females with nice bodies and im not lying.

Nerd: Man, my language does not seem to be up to date with today's world. I shall take a little trip on to the good ol' interwebs and find some new cool urban words.

My name is Albert and these are my intrests and hobbys and nervousnesses.
I play on xbox every spare minute of my life, i sleep 8 hours a day, like a good boy, my social life is my mother, father, sister and xbox, i eat while playing, i do my geologgy homework for 2 hours a day. I dont care about P.E, my curfew is at 6 o'cloc. Im 16 years old, i have STAR TREK pj's, im on my 10th prestige on cod4, level 55, i am the halo wizz, i get paid to play xbox. I point out every typing error someone does because i dont know what text language is, i waste my time after watching a youtube video, by pointing out all of the bad bits. Im a hater. I sweat when talking to a girl, other than my sister, i have 6 inch glasses. I truly, truly am a nerd!

A person (male or female) that tends to wear glasses, pocket protectors, and/or long skinny ties with white shirts. They are usually smart and tend to have a hard time getting a date for the prom.
