The idea that Norman "Nick" rewrites his own history if he ever wants to forget something that happened in the past and doesn't want to talk about it. If you try to press him and bring up something that he wiped out, then he will fuck you up and accuse you of projecting. If Norman "Nick" don't want it to be a part of his life, then he just gonna go ahead and forget about it, it's pretty simple.
