There are many different types of scene.
Usually meant to describe a new fashion rise, or a new type of social group.
There is :The Punk Scene, The New Scene, The Hardcore Scene, The Metal Scene, The Emo Scene, The Preppy Scene, The Art Scene, The Nerd Scene, The Jock Scene and so on and so forth.
The so called 'scene kids' that usually come to your mind when you hear the name are actually the 'new' scene kids.
They are the ones who tend to have very outrageous hair and clothes.
I happen to like dinos and this does not make me scene.
Scene is a word associated with every social clique.
As in all groups of people there are good ones and bad ones.
This 'New' scene is no exception, however that does not mean that you have to osctirsize and hate them.
The reason these 'New' Scene kids are called scene kids is because there really isnt another name to describe them because they seem to be a mixture of all previous scene's in the decades previous.
A scene is also something in a play.
A scene is associated with every group of people.

MOSTLY,
a scene kid is someone who generally doesn't give a crap of what other's think of them.
it's that simple.
not all sceney's are all "KTHNXBAI", like definition 1 says.
okay? we're just kids who got tired of caring what people want to label us, and just made our own label.
DO NOT:
-confuse scene with emo, they are two completely different things.
-think that we all wear skinny jeans, and all love screamo, and all love plastic bows and spikey hair. many do, but some don't.
DIFFERENTIATE:
-there are often two sides of scene:
the drugheads, and the straightedges.
drugheads: do whatever. often weed.
straightedges: are decidedly AGAINST drugs and alcohol.
so don't decide not to be friends with a sceney just because you've heard they all do drugs, and are all stuck up beyyotches.
how to spot a sceney:
usually will be wearing tight jeans, vans, and a t-shirt from either a concert, hottopic, zumiez, etc.
almost always have something radically different going on with their hair. often is ratted, dyed, dyke spiked, super straight, or all of the above
i'm NOT saying this is what EVERY sceney looks like, but many are.

-guys and girls that cant see because their choppy black hair with the blonde streak is obstructing their vision.
-kids who "bring the mosh" to that hXc show last nite.
-kids who enjoy guns
-kids who enjoy glamour
-kids who like to use the phrase "cunt face"
-boys who like to wear tight jeans, and a tight black hoodie, with some form of a girl-esque sneaker.
-girls who wear big sunglasses, bows, polkadots, little hearts, fun clips, flats because they want to.

1. Unintelligent high school age children who pretend to actually know something about music despite the fact that they have never picked up a musical instrument, nor have they composed a song in their entire existence.
They spend all of their free time outside of school at this horrid place called "the mall" doing drugs with their friends, talking to their twenty-two year old faggot ringleader while he "works so god-damn hard" at Sam Goody for $7.25 an hour. Many of them also use this time to break up with one another, cry over it, and then "lose it" in a big storm of angst-ridden bravado to impress the Sam Goody guy. see also faggot
2. People who name-drop bands but don't own any of their albums. Having them on your IPOD or burning the CD still does not count because you are a grab-ass piece of shit who will not support the artist.

Usually,people who are classed as scene wear:
*tight jeans.
*tight shirts.
*revealing shirts((girls)).
*wear colourful make up((girls)).
*have a usual hair colour with some neon extensions or highlights.
*have long hair with layers at the top and the rest is straight.Usually a little teased at the top((girls)).
*have short choppy hair((girls)).
*have emo hair((guys)).
*like hello kitty,gloomy bear,bows and dinosaurs but dont know why.
*often vain.
*sometimes use photoshop.
*think there better than everyone else cos theyre scene.
Im not saying im scene.
Im not saying im not scene.
But i think its stupid that sluts and whores think there better than everyone else,but no one has a go at them.Or that if you actually talk to a scene kid then most of the things mentioned above dont even apply to them but half of the people on here still bag them out.
Just saying.
Besides,lots of people are camera whores.
If your scene good for you.
If your not,then stop telling them off.

scene is an underground culture that sprang up from 'emo'.
A scene can be a male or female. Eyeliner, tight clothing, neon colored clothing, long bangs, odd hair (long on guys, long OR short on females, poofy hair), gun shot wound (back of hair is spiked), going to all the concerts/shows. Notes: not to be mistaken by EMO or a POSER. Curly hair is only on the ends of female hair, not on males! All most always a white kid.
Scene traits:
-Mosh-pitting
-neon colors
-Hottopic
-local shows
-'scene' hair
-tight clothing
-female clothing (on guys)
-eyeliner (both male and females)
-a VERY SKINNY person
-heavy internet user
-the ability of typing/texting over 350 words per minute
-knowing who 'Dot Dot Curve' or 'Alesana' is.
-the guy/girl you see at the mall everyday
- rumors about he/she being gay/lesbain
- for more, fucking google it!
