show-getter

The antonym of a go-getter, a show-getter steps up only for show, not intending to do the actual work. A clever show-getter can receive recognition without actually doing anything.

Tony volunteered to help out Saturday knowng full well He had to work. And they thanked him! He's such a show-getter.

going to the show

A phrase stated upon observing a scene kid.

Then this kid with tight pants and swoop hair walked by and Rob goes, "that fool is going to the show."

[title of show]

title of show is an Off-Broadway musical staring Jeff Bowen, Heidi Blickenstaff, Hunter Bell and Susan Blackwell. The musical is about the creators- all theatre junkies- trying to write a musical that becomes title of show. The result is a blend of playful piano, lots of harmonizing and hilarious inside jokes to the theatre world. It has songs such as Untitled Opening Number, Two Nobodies in New York, Part of It All and Nine People's Favourite Thing.

I'm a tosser. I love title of show!

Jack Show

Refers to one being incredibly muscular or 'Jacked'. It could also refer to someone showing off their muscles, either needlessly (Walking around town shirtless on a summer day), or unintentionally (At the beach).

Example 1:

Bob: Hey Leroy, look at that dude walking down the street. Why the hell does he have his shirt off?

Leroy: I don't know. I bet he thinks he's a total Jack Show or something.

Bob: What an idiot!

Example 2:

I've been working out straight for about a year and I'm pretty sure I went from a tiny wimp to a complete Jack Show.

donkey show

1. A form of entertainment most commonly associated with being presented in Tijuana, in which (usually) men pay to observe a male donkey have sex with a female human.

2. A popular Oregon radio show, broadcast from Eugene with a transmitter powerful enough to be heard even outside the state depending on how good the receiving radio is (Vancouver, WA is an example). Syndicated in Medford (south of Eugene) at night time, though the hours the show is actually done is 2-6 PM. Broadcast on 101.5 KFLY FM, the show plays little music compared to most FM radio, and is mainly composed of the two co-hosts Tanner and Drew sharing their often humorous opinions and satires of current events and people currently in the news; as well as other commonly done humor-based radio bits. They refer to their listeners as throbbits (from a pornographic parody of Lord of the Rings).

1. Dude when we went to Mexico we almost went to see a donkey show but decided not to on account of that being absolutely foul.

2. The number one show across the board in radio ratings in Eugene, OR (and surrounding), is the Donkey Show.
