"Bro" stands for Brother but can be used when you talk to for example a friend, it´s being used a lot in America.
Not to be confused with "lax bro" which is essentially a douche. A Bro is a person who lives a chill life, most likely smokes weed and usually lives near the ocean. They continually use words such as dude, bro, chill, gnarly, right on, righteous, sick, and shoots (in hawaii). Bros are nice, inclusive and cool to be around unlike their "lax bro" counterparts. Bro music is usually bands like Sublime, The Dirty Heads, 311, slightly stoopid and many other chill reggae/ska bands. They live mainly in SoCal and Hawaii. Still, some can be found in NorCal in the bay area. But seriously... bros dont say hella or hecka.
Bro: Hey bro, you see those gnarly tubes out there today?
Bro's Bro: Yea its pretty chill, after we light we should go out.
Bro: Right on bro.
Bro's Bro: Shoots bro.
Not To Be Confused With:
Lax Bro: SPOOOORTS! YEEEEEAAHHHHHH! IM SO COOOOL! CHECK OUT MY JERSEY I WEAR 25/7!!!!! IM SOOOOO FREAKIN COOL! WANNA HEAR A JOKE? NO? OH WELL!! WOMENS RIGHTS!!! HAHAHA IM SO FUNNY!
A young individual, usually between the age of 16-20 that shows good intentions a majority of the time, and will often place other friends above themselves. This includes but is not limited to: spotting a friend at Taco Bell and not asking for incentive, donating perfectly good clothes to close friends that they didn't really want to give away, or overall providing a humorous and somewhat waggish experience for others during chill seshes. Strictly used regarding male relationships.
Not to be confused with brother, though the two are often synonymous, as a bro is close enough a majority of the time to be considered a brother. It is often insulting to never make this comparison if the bro-lationship has continued for more than 3 years.
Tommy: Yo, who's that new kid everyone keeps talking about? Jake, right?
Jacob: Yeah man, I just hung out with him yesterday... he's a fucking bro!
