A once fun and cute show for pre-schoolers and younger elementary kids.
Orignally had Steve (human male), Blue (female blue dog), Mr. Salt (a salt shaker), Mrs. Pepper (a pepper shaker), and a Mailbox who came in and out once per episode to deliver 'Mail Time!'
Blue would leave 3 clues that Steve and the viewers would write down in the Handy-Dany Notebook and procede to look around for more (and take Mail Time where Steve gets a letter from kids) and talk to the various creatures and animals.
Later; Steve (went to collage in real life) and 'left' leaving Blue to his brother, Joe. After came a bunch of new animals and creatures and kind of sucked the orinally fun out of the show.
Original Blues Clues is what I watched as a little girl.

Someone who works in a small shop, factory, construction site, plant, or travels for contract work. Could be unskilled heavy manual labor. Like throwing a shovel. Skilled heavy manual labor, like hot tar roofing. Unskilled widget assembly line work, or skilled custom heavy manufacturing, or any support roles for these things. Wages range from disgustingly low to disgustingly high. Normally a blue collar worker's worth is directly related to what and how obscure his skills are. How in demand his skills are. And how unpleasant and dirty the work is that these workskills need applied. An electrician gets paid a lot more than a landscaper.
"Bill is a blue collar guy. He never went to college, but can work metal like a goddamn artist. His job pays him pretty well for it. But he comes home nasty every day."

1. An illusion.
2. A fluke of bad lighting.
3. Irreconcilable confusion.
The metaphor originates from an image of a dress which gained instant internet notoriety because the lighting in the photograph caused the dress to appear unquestionably deep-blue & black to many viewers, and obviously white & gold to many others. The dress was actually gold and white, but the human eye's perception of the shades often causes misinterpretations.
1. An amputee may still feel the missing limb, but it is a blue dress. The senses betray.
Pedestrians were in awe while viewing a hole to the center of the Earth in downtown Manhattan. They knew it was a blue dress - a sidewalk painting that used perspective to trick their eyes- but it was incredible.
The advertisement for the fast-food hamburger was a blue dress. The burger looks completely different in reality.
2. Her date's appearance was a blue dress. He looked beautiful in white-light, and frightful in dim light.
3. The comedy act "Who's on first" is a blue dress. Few people even try to understand.

Translated from the old Spanish phrase "sangre azul", blue blood derives from the Medieval belief in Europe (among other places) that the blood of the royalty and nobility was blue; since the royal family and aristocrats were wealthy and powerful enough to pay commoners to labor in the fields for them, their skin was translucent and pale enough for their blue veins to stand out.
It also refers to old money families: families that have been aristocrats for many generations.
The blue blood disdainfully looked upon the unrefined manners of the nouveau riche (aka "new money").
The blue blood of the elite could not be tainted by the blood of commoners, lest the whole line be polluted (disregarding the risks of inbreeding).
