Stillusion Effect

An ironic occurrence when two situations happen either at the same time, or different times. When the blamed or the two people responsible (One at occurrence 1, one at occurrence 2) give strange but similar response or backup story. One will be lying and one will actually be telling the truth.

One person would accidentally break a peice of equipment, and the other person was accused of stealing something. Both of the people accused know nothing about the other or seen each other, but the person blaming both of them know them a certain way. Both of them give the same statement.

"I did not do it, I wouldn't have anything to do with it, why think I do such a thing?"

One is lying, one is innocent. Stillusion Effect was occurring.

Joe Effect

When a person has all the bad luck in the world and can’t ever catch a break. To have everything that happens in your life never go in your favor. Basically the worst luck in the world.

Joe: “Bro, I got a red light ticket for $250 even though I was stopped the whole time.”
Trevor: “That my friend is the Joe Effect!”

Joe Effect

When an employee, without being directly detrimental to the company, help other employees seeing they might have better opportunities somewhere else.

Employee 1: I know other companies have great benefits, but they really trust me here.
Employee 2: Damn dog, you need to explore other option where you are now in your career.

HR: We are losing a lot of employees in that department, might be the Joe Effect

The Billy Carson Effect

A combination of the Streisand Effect, Mandella Effect and the Dunning-Krueger Effect all rolled into one. When a person is too dumb to admit defeat and they cope so hard it glitches the matrix. Named after the famous crash out of Billy Carson in 2024 which led to everyone making reaction streams to his insane doubling down and denial of reality.

"Dude take your L like a man and move on, you don't wanna invoke The Billy Carson Effect and make it worse."

Fey Effect

When a comedian makes a negative political ad disguised as a comedy piece to encourage the average viewer to pay attention and be more open to receiving and considering the criticism embedded within the humor; specifically, the Fey Effect is when this bit has an important, lasting effect on real world politics.

It comes from Tina Fey's impression of Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live, which negatively affected the public's opinion of Palin.

The Fey Effect is partly responsible for Palin's relevancy declining significantly in the past 10 years.

The basketball diary effect

When something is recommended to you repeatedly, so much so that it puts you off said thing forever.

Man, I never ended up watching that movie due to the basketball diary effect - it was recommended to me so many times, I just started rewatching Party of Five.
