Abbreviation of live action role playing. It consists of dressing up in character with friends and completing tasks or fantasies. Often it involves foam swords and medieval style battle, but can also include any activity where the players dress up and pretend to be someone they are not. For example, dressing up with your friends to draft players in your fantasy league is considered larping.
Even though were not larping to D&D , we dressed up and pretended to be someone else. Its still larping.

A Larp is an asset trader on social media who fronts as if he trades large positions, sometimes with 5-6 set ups a day, in a futile attempt to cover up the fact his sex life isn't going anywhere.
The Larp values his weight in clout more than his weight in gold.
Used predominately by the niche community of digital asset traders online on twitter, known as 'CryptoTwitter' even though they don't know anything about cryptography and instead pride themselves in their dexterity with connecting 2 candles using a line.
Bro, this showerhead guy claims to trade 150,000 contracts on BitMEX yet he's charging 0.01 $BTC for a connectfour game with him

LARPing is short for "Live Action Role-Playing". A live action role-playing game is a form of role-playing game where the participants physically act out their characters' actions. The players pursue their characters' goals within a fictional setting represented by the real world, while interacting with one another in character. The outcome of player actions may be mediated by game rules, or determined by consensus between players.
The first LARPs were run in the late 1970s, inspired by role-playing games and genre fiction. The activity gained international popularity during the 1980s, and has diversified into wide variety of styles. Play may be very game-like, or may be more concerned with dramatic or artistic expression. The fictional genres used vary greatly, from realistic modern or historical settings to fantastic or futuristic eras. Production values are sometimes minimal, but can involve elaborate venues and costumes. LARPs range in size from small private events lasting a few hours to huge public events with thousands of players lasting for several days.
"I got a ton of exercise last weekend larping. It sure is more fun that sitting around playing videogames all day."
