Pity Like Like

The act of liking somebody's pity like, out of pity for how unoriginal and windy their original pity like was. A sign that pity liking has become overused and should probably be classed as gale force bant.

Facebook user one: 'uninteresting status'
Facebook user two: (after pity liking said status): 'guffaw, i'm so witty and original'
Facebook user three: (after pity like liking the pity like) 'that'll quench that gale force bant'

^a classic Pity Like Like manouvre.

If it walks like a duck, looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's a duck.

An idiomatic phrase expressing that if something looks and acts a certain recognizable way, it probably is exactly what it appears to be.

"After the liquor store was robbed, a man was found leaving the scene carrying a gun. Did he commit the crime?"
"If it walks like a duck, looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's a duck."

Float like a Cadillac, Sting like a beemer

Famous catchphrase from the 2006 film Cars. This sentence is pronounced by the main character of the film Lightning McQueen many times during the film, to kinda hype himself up.

*mcqueen does an epic drift on the dirty section of the track*
Hudson Hornet: Float like a Cadillac
Lighning McQueen: Sting like a beemer!
(float like a cadillac, sting like a beemer)

Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee

1. A famous quote by Muhammad Ali that he used to describe his fighting style. He was so quick on his feet that he practically danced around his opponents, but he packed a hard punch.

2. Can describe someone who is generally seen as nice but makes cutting remarks in an argument.

1. "Agility is as important as strength in boxing. Like Muhammad you gotta float like a butterfly, sting like a bee."

2. "Anna is so sweet."
"Yeah, until you pick a fight with her. She floats like a buttetfly but stings like a bee."

float like a butterfly, sting like a bee

( invented by and physically applied to Muhammad Ali ):

A) an adjective to describe 'gentle giants'

B) describes, a politically active ( but not a politician) people who have a particular sense of 'political sarcasm' and matching wit' when they discuss politics on an intellectual level

C) describes very few professional politicians who use the particular sarcasm identified above to not mince words when they ' say what they mean' and ' mean what they say'

While the phrase float like a butterfly, sting like a bee can be theoretically applied definition a), to Muhammad Ali, it can also be applied , definition b) , to not only Muhammad Ali, but also simple politically conscious people like myself . Definition c) can be applied not only to myself and Muhammad Ali ( to the extent that Muhammad Ali and I were never politicians) but should rarely epitomize, whereb it's deserved, professional politicians like Vladimir Putin who don't mince words when they speak, using definition b) instead to ' say what they mean' and ' mean what they mean'
