Ticking it

For something to be described as "ticking it", it must be exceptionally good or very interesting. For a person to be "ticking it", they must be very good-looking or socially admirable. It is similar to words like nang, peng and grade. It originated in Nottingham in 2010. It is a manipulation of the phrase "ticking all the boxes".

tick

A small minor error in everyday life, nothing life-threatening but something that causes inconvenience or annoyance. Often used in music.

"I left my phone in my car, I'll be right back." "Dang dude that's like your third tick today."

"The guitarist for their band screws up all the time." "Oh I know, he's a total tickbox."
