A relatively recently slang adaptation on the U.S. East Coast (including parts of the following states/City: PA, MD, Washington DC, and Virginia) for the notorious street drug heroin - an illicit, powerful, and deadly opioid narcotic.

Etymology:
Derived from the fictional female title character, Xena, from the 1990's television franchise "Xena: Warrior Princess." This adaptation of Xena as a moniker for heroin is a clever reference to Xena notably being the heroine of the franchise. The spelling of "heroine" is the same as that of the drug ("heroin") with only an addition of a letter "e" to the end.
