Do me a solid

Do me a favour

Hey, man, do me a solid... Yeah? Lend me a fiver...

my comment: Seinfeld, schmeinfeld, we were using the expression "Do me a solid" mid-sixties in London. But I don't know where it started.

Do me (band)

A non-sexual term referring to the way a band kid asks for assistance from fellow band kids to put on his or her jacket as part of their uniform. The jacket itself is very difficult to put on by itself because the zipper is on the back. Unless you are a freak of nature, you need help putting it on. This ritual of the doing normally begins with a band kid half in the uniform turning around as they say "Do me", the band kid leans over as the second band kid takes their quivering hand and slowly zips up their jacket. Once this is done, the band kids parts ways to do other people.

Band kid 1: Hey band kid 2, "Do me (band)"
Band kid 2: *Zips up jacket*
Band kid 1: Thank you! *walks away*

Mount and Do Me

A new phrase created by the store, Spencer's. It refers to sex on the vaginal or anal variety. The irony is found in the fact of the soda Mountain Dew.

Hey baby, won't you "Mount and Do Me?"

Do me a favor

"Do me a favor" means "no", with an attitude. Similar in meaning to the outdated phrase, "talk to the hand". When one person asks another person to do something undesirable, the response may be, "do me a favor". No specific favor is given, but the recipient is free to imagine one (go jump in the lake, etc.).

Wife: "Honey, can you take out the trash?"

Husband: "Do me a favor."

Do me a solid

Help out a friend.

First used on the Seinfeld episode "The Jacket" in 1991.

KRAMER: Hey. Hey, would you do me a solid?

JERRY: Well, what kind of solid?

KRAMER: I need you to sit in the car for two minutes while it's double-parked. I gotta pick up some birds.

Also used in the movie "Half Nelson" (Ryan Gosling)

"Juno" has caused a new wave of youngins to say this who have never used the term before seeing the movie, which has caused people who have used it prior to stop using it immediately. Take the term you fake ass scenesters.
