A person that uses certain genres of music in a tokenism sorta way and to look cool rather than actually liking the genre of music. typically this sorta thing happens with metal music. Bands that fall under the Genre Tourist label are: Blood Incantation, Nails, Skinless, Cannibal Corpse, Sanguisugabogg, Bloodbath, etc. keep in mind there's nothing particularly wrong with listening to these bands, but some people choose to listen to them to seem cool.
a very notorious genre tourist is Anthony Fantano.
Cringe TikTok Metalhead: "i listen to skinless, korn, deftones, and cannibal corpse!"
Real Metalhead: "you're such a genre tourist"

Genre bending: When you take a (or many) classic type(s) of (movie\novel) subject(s) and set it (them) in a totally different type of setting.
The fil "Pumkin" is often recognized as one of the first examples of genre bending.

1. Someone who cannot tolerate other kinds of music. They have a very narrow taste for sounds of which they probably didn't even aquire themselves.
2. Someone who argues over what genre a song is esp when they're very similar.
A genre nazi would probably say something along the lines of:
1. I only like hip/hop. I only like metal. i only like pop. etc.
2. "No this isn't trance, this is house." or "this is death metal not deathcore."

A food genre is just another word for cuisine. Kind of like the same idea as a book genre; just for food. It’s the more fun way to say cuisine. Some examples are Italian, Mexican, Chinese, etc.
Austin: “What food genre do you want to go eat?”
Bob: “Let’s go to Mexican Villa and get some Mexican food.”
Austin: “Okay, let’s go.”
A band or music artist that can't stick to one musical genre and produces a confusing catalogue because normies are used to everything sounding the same

The "twist ending" that pervades science fiction, horror, mystery, and fantasy writing, television, or film -- basically, anything that might get the label "genre". The classic example is that Bruce Willis was dead the entire time.
Marlene: Hey, did you watch Criminal Minds last week?
Jill: Yeah, but I figured out the genre twist just before they revealed the kid was the killer.
Marlene: I got it before the end of the second commercial break.
