de madre

Spanish, literally means "from mother" but it actually means unbelievably frustrating, not cool, bad.

Ex1:

Person 1: "How the hell did that happen?!?"
Person 2: "I know, I can't believe it..."
Person 1: " that was de madre"

Ex2:
Person 1: "This game is so hard!!"
Person 2: "This game is de madre"

Ex3:

Person 1: "What?!, you failed art class?"
Person 2: "Yeah.."
Person 1: You are de madre...."

Sierra Madre

A small, quiant little town in the San gabriel valley in California near Pasadena and Monrovia. The most BORING city in the world where nothing interesting happens. Filled with conservative white old people who take care of their grandchildren and take them to a nice little park, with a beautiful view of the local cemetery 50 feet away from the swirly slide. Sierra Madre-ians always leave Sierra madre if they want to have fun (usually the unfortunate 1% that are teenagers that live there). They go to pasadena (Old Town, Paseo Colorado) or Monrovia (Westfield Mall) to enjoy themselves and wish that they lived there.

Jim: Hey lets go chill somewhere fun.
Bill: We can't drive, and where stuck in Sierra Madre.
Jim: Shit, i wish I live in Pasadena.

sierra madre

To "go a little crazy" in the civic sense. Pitting neighbor against neighbor and rendering one unable to listen to anything at odds with their own feelings irrespective of logic.

I tried to talk to Kurt about the realities of state legislation's impact on his desires, but he was a little sierra madre on the topic.
