neutral good

neutral good is an alignment in D&D representing creatures of neutral "law vs chaos" axis and morally good aligned in the "good vs evil" panteon. Creatures of this alignment take a mid-instance, and define that neither too much chaos nor too much law is beneficial to the whole, as they are mere tools to bringing happiness to the greatest number of possible creatures.

Bahamut is the lawful good variant of a dragon, whereas the cooper-dragon, a common version, is generally neutral good in alignment.

Net Neutrality

The term describes the belief that Internet service providers (ISPs) and governments should treat data transmitted on the Internet equally regardless of the kind, or size, being transmitted. Net Neutrality advocates are opposed to ISPs throttling connection speeds based on the kind of data being transmitted, or the servers transmitting. Net Neutrality advocates are also opposed to the creation of "fast lanes," or faster/higher bandwidth connections, for exclusive content providers (e.g. Netflix, Youtube, etc.) who often pay, or may be required to pay, an additional fee to ISPs for these fast lanes. A "neutral" net would have ISPs charge users equally regardless of content, site, platform, application, type of attached equipment, and modes of communication. Net Neutrality does NOT refer to censorship of the internet by the Federal Government. Primarily, again, Net Neutrality is the position which states that ISPs should not limit service, or provide exclusive services, to those sending traffic along their network based on content (music, movies, etc.), site (e.g. political websites, websites owned by their competitors, etc.), company/customer, application, equipment, or mode/type of communication (peer to peer).

Many fear that if currently proposed net neutrality laws are passed the FCC will be given unlimited control of the internet, and that private ISPs will influence the FCC to pass regulations that will push their competitors out of business.

Comcast isn't treating traffic neutrally, and thus we must pass Net Neutrality legislation, regulate the internet, and hope that the government, and the Net, won't end up in Comcast's pocket through the revolving door that is Washington DC.

Chaotic Neutral

Chaotic Neutral is freedom from both society's restrictions and a do-gooder's zeal.

Chaotic neutral characters follow their whims. They are individualists first and last. They value their own liberty but do not strive to protect the freedom of others. They avoid authority, resent restrictions, and challenge traditions. Chaotic neutral characters don't intentionally disrupt organizations as part of a campaign of anarchy. To do so, they would have to be motivated either by good (a desire to help people) or by evil (a desire to hurt people).

Chaotic neutral characters may be unpredictable, but their behavior is not totally random - they are not as likely to jump off a bridge as to cross it. However, they do act on momentary whims, and are known to be unreliable. As some would say, "the only reliable thing about them is that they cannot be relied upon!"

Chaotic Neutral is sometimes considered the "purest" form of chaos, without bias in favor of good or evil.

A wandering rogue who lives both by work for hire and petty theft, an eccentric mage who experiments with dangerous magic just to view the results, and a con-artist or hustler who plays all sides against the middle to further his own aims are all examples of chaotic neutral characters.

Neutral drop

When you put your vehicle in neutral gear, rev the RPM's up real high then throw it into drive. Thus making your tires spin. This is normally done on vehicles with automatic transmissions that dont have the power to burnout by fully depressing the gas pedal. Unfortunatly neutral dropping can ruin your transmission or driveshaft.

I did a neutral drop on a geo metro and managed to lay down two feet of rubber! :D

Net Neutrality

The idea that the interwebs are neutral territory belonging to no government. Under net neutrality, all internet access should be treated equally free from censorship, throttling, or any other disruptive actions that diminish freedom of expression or freedom of usage preventing corporate monopolies.

The FCC wants to destroy net neutrality and give giant cable companies control over the Internet.

Saying/Thinking you are neutral when you clearly have radical/extreme views on a matter, topic or towards a certain group of people.

Person 2: Oh im pretty neutral, i just think they should all be killed in the worst possible way ever and their legacy removed from history.

Person 2 is Albanian Neutral.
