Practice Push

A practice push is when you need to do a large fart, e.g. in a farting competition, and you're not sure if the next fart will take you over the limit into a full blown poo. To perform a practice push you squeeze a fart until it is just about to be released and then relax. If a poo is imminent, then there will be bowel movements and you will feel the poo coming. This gives you just enough time to rush to the nearest loo, which you wouldn't have had the time for if you just attempted to unleash the fart straight away.

"I'm going to win this farting competition right here, right now."
"Are you sure you can release without crapping yourself like last time?"
"Yes, i've had several practice pushes, i think i'm safe."

The act of frivolous fornication with an unfortunate-looking girl to prepare you for more pleasurable, longer-lasting sex with a hot girl later in the night.

Someone who always out does everyone else at pratice. Always has to beat everyone else and win.

A phrase primarily used by technologists or tech companies to describe what it is that they alone do and recommend. Contrary to its seeming meaning, "best practices" are ill-defined and constantly changing, even within a single organization.

Batting Practice

The act or practice of using an emotionally unstable (or otherwise un-dateable) person as a sexual batting cage, so as to be prepared for when you step up to bat in a game that matters (see: hottie)

Marty: "So, I hear you've been dating this Emily for quite some time...is it getting serious?"

Jimbo: "Not at all, I just want to be prepared for when I meet a girl that matters to me. Actually, any girl that is capable of spelling would be an improvement over the one I have now. I haven't even stepped up to plate yet, this is still batting practice."

1. A term used to describe a person of the opposite sex who you are seeing - but not really into - but are using to keep your game sharp and on par. Batting practice usually takes place after a breakup from a long relationship.
