When you get really desperate due to not having bud and pack a cone with the black, burnt substance (resin) found in and around the cp and stem. Resin must be dried out for approximately 2 hours before smoking it. You may also need a stoke (such as a thin stick) as resin is much harder and more heinous to punch. Live resin is a extract/concentrate found in the cannabis industry. Similar to living cilantro, the roots are still attached when the final process begins leaving the plant to feed off the remaining moisture left in the roots keeping it from drying out and helping to preserve the cannabinoids and terpenes.
