'Dies Irae' by Verdi

A requiem written by Verdi. One of the most powerful and strong pieces ever written.

Not to be confused with 'Dies Irae', another requiem by Mozart.

Move aside death metal, because 'Dies Irae' by Verdi is the angriest music you will ever hear!

Colpa di Freddo

Method of contagion, peculiar to Italy, where any number of extreme (imaginary) diseases can be picked up by drinking a drink which is too cold, walking in a cool breeze, forgetting to wear your armani scarf or not wearing an overcoat during a month when it is considered necessary even though the temperature is over 90 degrees in the shade.

"Mamma, my girlfriend made me drink a cold drink and I caught a Colpa di Freddo." "Well you need to take care of yourself dear - you're only 36!"

"I don't care if it is a hundred degrees, darling. You cannot drive to work in May without your overcoat and your scarf - you will catch a 'Colpa di Freddo'." "Si, Mamma!"

"Please close the car window. It is bad for my 'Elth. I know you are all sweating but I will catch a 'Colpa di Freddo' "

Love Never Dies

1) Preposterous sequel to THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA unfortunately greenlit by Andrew Lloyd Webber in a misguided attempt to relive his glory days and milk the brand potential of his biggest success. Unfortunately it travesties the characters and stories of the original, which was noticed by its fanbase, and consequently the project bombed.

Synonymous with: fanfiction, unnecessary sequels, travesty, George Lucas, revionism, canon rape

2) The subtitle for BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA (dir. Francis Ford Coppola).

"Have you seen Love Never Dies?"

"Paint Never Dries, you mean?"

ling-di-long

To move slowly, often swaying somewhat from side to side, with no sense of urgency or purpose whatsoever.

Needs to be added as an adjective to a verb of motion, such as walk, amble, going etc.

However a person can also be described as ling-di-long. (See examples below)

Look at Roger walking ling-di-long to school! If he doesn't hurry up, he will be late, the idle toad!

Will you get a move on before you miss the bus, Miss Ling-di-long?
