From the morning of November 7, 2020, when Trump was voted out of office, many Americans realized that after four harsh and damaging years, they felt thankful. He had told them to Make America Great Again and by getting rid of him they had done so, and more, had made America Grateful Again, restoring sanity to the country that had been driven to the edge. At their masked and distanced Thanksgiving celebrations, when they were asked what they were thankful for, many would feel the answer come easily.
With the average internet person no longer having enough enemies to keep up with supply versus demand, people have taken on every available avenue of life (both online & offline) just to take on any new possible enemy available just for a small window of a chance to tell them... "Get born again! Go shit yourself out of your own ass!" In other words, GBA (Get Born Again) & GSY (Go Shit Yourself)!

I suppose, if you're a professor, normal discourse involves the students listening to what you have to say, doing what you tell them to do, and respecting their betters or they'll be ejected because 'I don't tolerate disrespect in my classroom.' You exchange niceties with your colleagues and maybe engage in some intellectually stimulating conversation or debate... But it always remains civil and, if it doesn't, you always have some sort of recourse (even though the dialect being wielded against me leaves me with minimal/no recourse and Dr. Jeepjorp actively engages in it and is perfectly fine with it) and you never get told to go fuck yourself...

Look, he thinks there should be a buy-in to engage in the public discourse (like a student at a college) and that those with ethos (the teachers) should hold more sway over it. That is wild! And you could say 'Well, you have to earn ethos' but 70% of your peers (people with similar ethos) disagree with you.
