It's when you see that something is not preventable and you simply give up on everything.
When you have an exam in 3 days and you know that you won't have the time to study, because it is just to much you may give up on learning at all, which would be called a Dennisovitsch Effect
When you build something beautiful on Minecraft but you think its ugly so you rebuild it all to build something even more beautiful and you re destroy it and that cycle continues.
Oh no The kori effect has begun!
The Holden Effect is the effect that Holden has on women in which a female likes him for less than a day and then their "crush" disappears within 24 hours.
Burke: ""Omg I like Holden! Who would have thought this would happen?"
Noah: "Don't worry, you won't like him tomorrow. It happened to me as well. It's the Holden Effect."
A mandala effect. Our subconscious minds made up many, many people named 'Adele'. Though, none of these people exist. Not even the singer.
Did you guys hear about the 'Adele' effect?!? I coulda sworn I went to a concert from someone named Adele..
A really, really strong urge to give someone a Birthday gift or Christmas gift weeks or even months earlier that when the event happens.
Getting Exceedingly high enjoyment out of spoiling someone.
This comes from the trend that a lot of people named Cassy/Cassandra have tendencies to act this way.
She was overwhelmed with the Cassy effect and gave her friend their birthday give 2 months early.
The desire to crack a joke, or make an immature / sarcastic comment, especially during an inappropriate moment; named after Chandler Bing from "Friends"
A prime example of the Chandler effect:
The Interviewer: So let’s talk a little bit about your duties.
Chandler: (nervous) My duties? (Trying not to crack a joke) All right.
The Interviewer: Now you’ll be heading a whole division, so you’ll have a lot of duties.
Chandler: (trying not to laugh) I see.
The Interviewer: But there’ll be perhaps 30 people under you so you can dump a certain amount on them.
Chandler: (really try not to laugh) Good to know.
The Interviewer: We can go into detail…
Chandler: No don’t I beg of you!
When someone gets cancelled on mostly false pretenses and it ends up traumatizing them so horribly they have still not recovered. This is an example of the extent some cancel culture has gone to, and how a 15 year old can be convinced they are worse than most serial killers.
Note: refers to the after affects of cancellation, and how messed up it can leave someone.
"Yeah, it's like the miilkti effect... she ended up in the hospital after it all went down"
