When someone makes a joke and no one laughs
At lunch today Donald had a jarrod moment, he looked very embarrassed
It is when a person (who is not Asian) experiences an event where an Asian does something that is stereotypically associated with Asians.
I witnessed an Asian Moment after I saw Justin breakdancing and squinting.
Parker: “bro does anyone have a charger my phones dead.”
Me: “Parker moment.”
An event that is so shocking, that everyone can remember where they were when they found out about it. From a comment about the Kennedy assassination.
I only just got back from school when 9/11 happened. That was my kennedy moment.
yaki moment' is a blanket term for all situations that merit a reaction worthy of yaki behavior. mostly defined by unexplainable shock that cannot be replicated by mere mortals. In these such situations one must exclaim 'yaki moment!'
note that a yaki moment isn't exclusive to yaki individuals, anyone can have a yaki moments. such as these situations:
Man 1: "I forgot to inhale air and passed out!
Man 2: "yaki moment!"
A twinkle moment occurs when you make eye contact with someone. During the eye contact there's a little twinkle because you both know you're thinking about the same thing but you don't say anything about it.
Twinkle moments can occur between two people in many different settings. It could happen during a dinner party between you and someone across the table, between you and a coworker when listening to a boss's presentation at work, or so many other situations.
Gabby: I passed Alex, that guy I hooked up with on Friday, when I was walking to class.
Ella: Did you say hi??
Gabby: No...He was walking with a girl. But we had a twinkle moment.
When a group of friends sit/lean on a wall or bridge like the skins cast and sit and chat/smoke/drink
We all sat on the walls and had a skins moment. Those were the days.
