uzi was right

A phrase used (especially on tik tok) when you finally get over something/someone that hurt you. Reffering to the line “you’ll get over it” in lil uzi vert’s popular song, The Way Life Goes.

The song says,

“ I know it hurts sometimes but you'll get over it
You'll find another life to live
I swear that you'll get over it
I know you're sad and tired
You've got nothing left to give
You'll find another life to live
I know that you'll get over it”

I was hurting and didn’t think that I could get over my breakup with Tristan, but Uzi was right

Staring Rights

An incidental, innocent gaze at someone where your head has to turn less to see them, than their's does to see you. More head turn means less staring rights, for example. Adds more uncomfortability factor if you have to turn your head to gaze at someone, they notice you looking and they're WTF'ing at you.

Best done while waiting for a train or something that requires glancing in one direction continually where the person you want to check out is also in that direction.

I was at the diner yesterday and I tried to check this girl out a bit better, but she noticed me looking over and had the staring rights on me.

religious right

A movement that is neither. A 1980’s to 1990’s effort by Christian fundamentalist extremists to preempt government by undermining the basic separations of church and state. A group of like minded individuals – see Southern Baptists – who somehow became fixated with an extreme fundamentalist view of Christianity and are dead set on ramming it down the throats of everyone else.

The state of Virginia is a hot bed of the religious right, having the embarrassment of both Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson.

right to be mad

Used as an excuse to treat the person who made you mad like shit for an indiscriminate amount of time due to the perceived justification of the anger.

Generally used by girlfriends against their boyfriends. Over the other often more mature options of talking about it and coming to a reasonable solution.

Boyfriend joked about the girlfriend being stubborn.
Girlfriend claims "I have the right to be mad!!!
Boyfriend proceeds to get the silent treatment and sleeps alone for 2 days.

right timing

The moment of coincidence, quirk of fate, joke of karma, or instance of destiny which reveals itself in one blessed instant that was previously deemed impossible by external forces- the instant your life irrevocably changes to include a 'we.'

One glorious example could be the night Ben and Caylan were brought together, a week shy of beginning their respective life-changing, international adventures in the Army and Peace Corps. They had the "right timing."
