A more perky type of goth, (predominately female.) Their look usually includes gemstones, brighter colors (pink is very popular), and of course a lot of glitter. Look out for black outfits and unaturally colored hair, false eyelashes, decorative make up, or wigs. Closely connected with babydoll goth.

A goth who is into the Industrial music scene. The urban goth. They usually wear flashy clothes and other accessories displaying a mechanical/industrial theme.
The cyber goth scene has attracted a lot of attention due to a break from the dark and brooding aspect of usual goths.

A brighter, bouncier goth! This sub-subculture of the gothic movement will most likely enjoy most types of gothic music, but will lean more toward the electronic, VNV Nation side of things. Will usually also listen to trance and techno. A candy goth usually incorporates a bright flash of color in their black wardrobe..neon colors, whimsical fashion, hair falls. The attitude is more positive, upbeat, lovey..incorporating the PLUR of the rave scene.
I love to watch the candy goth girl as she bounces about the dance floor.

Goth style without content. a new trend that muggles (non-magical, common folk) may confuse with goths. They dress in black, wear hipster hats, circular sun glasses, crosses, inverted crosses that they claim to be satanic crosses, however these "satanic crosses" are actually St Peters cross and are really still christian, triangles, band tops that they probably don't actually listen to and most of the time aren't even goth.
The black clothing is about as goth as it gets really. they aren't really interested in anything really dark nor do they actually listen to any goth music!! not even industrial. Music doesn't seem to be a major factor amongst tumblr goths and they seem to be more concerned with who re-blogs their OOTD. it seems everything they know comes from tumbr and topshop and since tumbr isn't a great site for information, we now have a gothesque subculture that has spread with out any content.
nor does there seem to be any desire to become educated in goth culture or any other subculture that inspired their style

The romantic goth embodies what the original gothic style of arcitecture and liturature were all about: romance, decadance,an ornate asthetic,and the view that darkness and beauty are one in the same.
They have an appreciation for vintage clothing from many eras, but most have a particular fondness for the Victorian style. It was during the Victorian era that the gothic liturature movement emerged. Most romantic goths are avid readers of books from that movment and books in general.
They tend to be creative, imaginative, idealistic, sentimental, and have a love for all things old fashioned.
Amanda Palmer from the Dresden Dolls is a romantic goth.
