Pinckney Marketing

Pinckney Marketing is a digital marketing agency that believes marketing doesn't have to follow a straight line. But don't take our word for it, step into their #newoffice and see what they have to offer.

Person 1: "Man I really need to increase my digital presence."
Person 2: "Go to Pinckney Marketing, they'll know what to do!"

Dark Marketing

The highly secretive psychological marketing science whereby accesses is gained to the subliminal areas of the object (consumer) brain where decisions are heavily influenced. Dark Marketing is by its nature dark (hidden) because it would be much less effective or even completely ineffective and potentially extremely negatively received if the object would know its true meaning. An example of this are catwalk models who do not smile while walking during a fashion show. When asked why, the official answer given by the fashion designer is that one should pay attention to the clothing, not the model. That is a diversion. The true (dark) reason is interest in the brand and sales increase when models present themselves with a more seductive face. If the fashion designer would explain the reason correctly it would not sound noble and could potentially harm the company’s potential to sell product. Dark Marketing is not in itself bad or negative, however one is at an advantage when one can spot it.

Dark Marketing is used when a company explains the official meaning of its logo when in reality it means something else.

select market

Of or relating to cars that have been done up to look blingy or fast. They range from poorly done paint and stickers, aftermarket kits that are unpainted or painted the wrong color, spoilers, pointless large mufflers, curb feelers, etc. Can almost always be related to dubs on hoopties or cars that are fast and furious.

I would like to get a 1964 Chevy, but all the ones that I've seen have hydraulics or tiny wheels. I don't really want something from the select market.

Market Vegetarian

A person who does not buy meat (from either restaurants or grocery stores) but will eat meat if it has already been prepared.

The inclusion of market refers to the fact that this person's buying behaviour (from the market's perspective) is like a vegetarian.

At a house party:
Person 1: Did you just have a meat pie? I thought you didn't want to have meat at the restaurant last week?

Person 2: I don't buy meat, but if it's already been purchased I'm ok with having it.

Person 1: Oh! So you're like a Market Vegetarian?

Person 2: Exactly

Person 1: What a hipster

Lexington Market

Lexington Market is one of the oldest and largest markets in the country. Since like the 1700s and some shit. With ties into the fish and meat industries, the market has served baltimore through generations of the working class.. lately its known for the drug use and drug dealers who surround the area.. but the market itself is still a thriving place of fresh seafood and carryouts who have helped put a name to the neighborhood. People not from baltimore only associate it with bad things due to surrounding neighborhoods but the market itself is still a great place to find good deals on seafood, groceries, lunch, etc.. all Im saying is, dont define the market by its surrounding neighborhoods and dont bash the neighborhoods surrounding it due to gentrification

"Hey man, want to get some fresh seafood from Lexington Market"

"Sure, we just have to be careful, it can be dangerous down Lexington Market. Let's go during the day."
