An extremely intense sport, popular in America, Canada, and played in parts of Australia, which involves large amounts of endurance, strength, and strategy. Brits like to bash it, only because the term "football" is one more thing Americans have that used to be only theirs (oh snap), and because soccer (futbol, football, whatever) is the worlds most popular sport, they can't comprehend the fact that people don't agree with the majority.
The sport has become an obsession in America, and is a giant part of American culture. The rest of the world is obsessed with the lovely little gentlemans sport of futbol, America is obsessed with the hard-hitting high impact sport of football. Were different, not ignorant. If you don't like it, fake an injury and hope America gets a red card
People get mad when Americans bash soccer, and insist that we don't understand and that were ignorant of other cultures outside our own. Though, ironically, everyone else does the same exact thing when it comes to American football... But the majority agrees with them, so it's ok

Clearing or hoofing the ball upfield and then chasing it down. The epitome of English Football and about as far as you can get from Total Football. When the ball is punted upfield the stadium shouts HOOOOF and then you try and charge the ball down and bundle it over the line.

One of the best college football conferences ever. The SEC has 35 total national championships and the Tennessee Volunteers won the first ever BCS national championship. The SEC dominates most other conferences like the ACC, Big 10, Big 12 ect. in football. If you take a SEC powerhouse team and put it up against a good team from one of the other conferences most of the time the SEC team is going to win. Since 1990 the SEC has won 10 national championships Alabama, Aubrun, Flordia, Tennessee, LSU, Flordia, LSU, Flordia, Alabama, AUburn. The SEC is 1st in bowl apperences 367 bowls, 201 wins, 157 loses, 9 ties (,560). The top 5 teams in the SEC are Alabama,Tennessee,Georgia,LSU,and Auburn
i heard the SEC Football as added Texas A&M and Missouri just some more punching bags for the good teams in the conference
