Someone who follows BlingBlingBilal#5443’s early 4chan and Reddit teachings on Waifu’s and Anime as whole. Weebs stand out for not showering on work days and ejaculating atleast 4 times a day. Most of them have nhentai and hanime pinned on their browser.

reasons for change of usage:
in 2016, anime has increased its popularity exponentially due to different major influences, some of which include -
- netflix buying into the anime industry
- kim kardashian promoting darling in the franxx on her instagram
- as a result, normalization of anime in western countries
- "anime aesthetic" fashion, citypop, lofi, hiphop music with anime influence being widely popularized
- manga slowly but surely outselling western comics
in general it can be assumed that anime has since then turned into somewhat of a "normie" interest as (many, not all) people are now a lot more accepting and self expression for this interest is also widely more appreciated. this means, that the term "weeb" is being thrown around with a lot less weight, just like for example the term "nerd" is.

This is a synonym to japanophilia. It is often confused with otaku, which means liking anime, manga and the japanese culture in a respectful way, unlike beeing a weeb. Weebs often fetishise people with Japanese roots.
Person A: Oh, i really like hentai, i would really like to date japanese women/men, because they are really sexy!
Person B: Would you consider knowing more about their culture?
Person A: Mm, i'm not that interested, i just like oppai.
Person B: You are such a weeb!
A person that enjoys anime so much that there a hardcore fan and is not racist to the asian culture
