bentley university

A good business college in Waltham, MA, with notable programs in the Financial world (Accounting, Finance, Corporate Finance & Accounting, Economics-Finance). It is a medium sized school of around 4,200 undergrads, but provides large school academic resources thanks to its strong business focus. Not the school to go to if you're looking for ethnic diversity, though up to 10% of the school's undergraduates are from outside the US.

Known in business circles in New England as the Marsha Brady to the Jan Brady that is Bryant University. At Bryant, you get a lot of anger and jealousy about not getting accepted to go to Bentley, and you're left with a lot of irrelevant straw-grasping about how they have DI sports now, and how they were a university first, and other things that don't really matter. DI Sports don't matter too much when HS day visiting students are the only ones volunteering in class and having a general idea of what the hell is going on, and when the most notable occurrence to your football program is when your coach skips town after the final game and leaves his team without even saying goodbye.

In the Brady bunch, metaphorical sense, Bentley gets all the boys, while Bryant wears ridiculous wigs and says "The New Jan Brady".

HS Senior #1: I'm going to Bryant.
HS Senior #2: Sucks for you, man, I got into Bentley University, and got grants and scholarships to go.
HS Senior #1: YEAH WELL FUCK YOU DUDE, BRYANT PLAYS D1 FOOTBALL SO TAKE YOUR ELITIST ATTITUDE AND STICK IT UP YOUR ASS. NORTHEAST RHODE ISLAND, WEST SIYYYYYYYYYIDE
HS Senior #2: Why are you yelling?

University of Phoenix

A business disguised as a school that uses spam as a means of luring in new unsuspecting customers. This diploma mill uses many sneaky advertising tactics, such as coming up as the first result in google search when typing in "university of", TV ads featuring sensationalized stories and fast-paced music, and a YouTube channel that features their "success stories" and that blocks any user that posts anything remotely critical of the school in their videos' comment sections. According to several accounts on the internet, most classes at UoP consist of nothing remotely useful. If one is able to get a job after graduating from here and pay off the $200,000 they owe in loans, they are truly lucky.

Rob didn't want to go to community college so he enrolled at University of Phoenix and found himself shelling out $50k a year to learn absolutely nothing.

University of Windsor

Located in Windsor, Ontario, Canada the University of Windsor is the southernmost university in all of Canada. (however, like pretty much all Canadian universities it still gets it's share of snow during the winter.)

The U of W is known for having one of the more internationally diverse student bodies in all of Canada, but the majority of it's students are still from the Windsor-Essex County and Chatam area (over 80% of students who go on to university from these areas will attend the U of W).

Historically, it hasn't scored well in Maclean's Magazine's annual University Rankings, but then again Maclean's Magazine is basically the Fox News of the North. In reality, the university offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degrees, including a well renown engineering program which has placed in the top 3 in each of the past three years in a competition against other engineering programs in Ontario.

Richard Peddie president and CEO of Maple Leafs sports and entertainment, graduated from the U of W with a degree in business and is still a proud supporter of the school and has be known to offer internships to Windsor MBA students.

Finally some of the benefits U of W students enjoy are a lively downtown district located close to the campus (5 minute bus ride), 3 pro sports teams located in downtown Detroit (Red Wings, Tigers and Lions) and the newly renovated and state of the art St. Dennis Center facility which played host to the 2008 Canadian Olympic Trials and is home to Lancer's Football, Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball and the CIS champion track and Field team.

Person1: So I heard you were thinking about the University of Windsor
Person2: Yeah, I am. But what about their rating in Maclean's?
Person1: Dude, it's Maclean's!
Person2: Good point...

DeVry University

\ De*Vry Uni*ver*si*ty \ ( Duh-vri Yoo-nuh-vur-si-tee )
- noun
1. An unflattering and even pejorative term for a franchise of schools allegedly responsible for providing tertiary education to students, who are traditionally failed college applicants that consider themselves too intelligent for community college.
2. The world's most awesome oxymoron.

1. "Man, I totally blew off my SAT's and got shafted into DeVry University, but don't tell anyone!"
2. Shannon spent the day brainstorming insulting oxymorons: Rap Music, Military Intelligence, Athletic Scholarship, Modern Art ... but none could top DeVry University!

Queen's University

Queen's is an internationally known Canadian university situated near the downtown of the city of Kingston. With beautiful architecture consistent throughout the entirety of the university's buildings, and renowned undergraduate and graduate faculties, it is an attractive university choice for many successful students. Queen's also has one of the highest entrance averages throughout all of Canada. In addition, the university boasts a graduate rate well above the nation wide average. Considered a Canadian Ivy league school Queen's has many assumed rivals, yet the students see few other universities worthy of rivalry and outdo all other universities in terms of academics and a variety of sports. Queen's graduates are often hardworking individuals and highly intelligent. These students have the opportunity to partake in a variety of traditions throughout the school year which are unique to the university.

Queen's University students aren't even allowed to wear their leather jackets until they finish their last exam! I wish we had leather jackets and cool traditions at our school
