Phrase use by Shaquille O’Neal to describe a current NBA player who he did not believe was as good. However the player proved him wrong. In a post-game interview Shaq told the player “I owe you an apology. I was not really familiar with your game”.
Since then it became viral as a meme and used in different contexts by someone who acknowledges a person or group that surprised them with a set of skills, abilities, or their character and opinions etc.
Actor ABC shows incredible skills when playing a certain character.

The annual event affectionately known at The Fist Games takes place on the first Thursday in January after the Epiphany. While not a religious holiday, it is celebrated religiously by its founders. The history of the Fist Games traces its roots to Tulane University in the late 1990s.
