de junta

Any rule or practice established by a junta, whether by law or not. Primarily used in contrast with de jure meaning in principle or by law. Related to de facto, meaning in fact or in practice as opposed to being by principle or law.

A de facto practice or situation established by persons having come to power by revolution.

Related words :
junta : revolutionary government in power by force or deception rather than law.

de facto : in fact, whether by law or not.

Antonyms :

de jure : established by principle or law

Is the practice of beating opposition politicians de-jure or de-facto? It is de-junta!

It is the de jure standard that politicians should be able to speak freely. It has become de junta that politicians speaking against the government are assaulted.

De Montfort

DeMontfort Uni is a Leicester based University which made the bright decision to utilise a glorified wind tunnel as it's fucking campus.

Though spacious and open plan, it is surrounded by some properly dodgy areas to go at night, typically infested with crack heads, and worse still, cyclists.

Steve: Hey Mark, you wanna head down to De montfort to enjoy the sun?

Mark: Nah man, I don't particularly fancy being run down by an Uber Eats moped mid campus, and then having the gale force winds defile my corpse

de-freak

To forcibly remove unsavory individuals (violent goths, meth addicts, prostitutes, drunken bums, dealers, crackheads) from an area.

They de-freaked those apartments last week and now they're remodeling them into swanky offices.

Oh man, Anchor Park has way too many crackheads. I can't walk through there at night until the cops de-freak it.
