El Salvador is a beautiful country located in Central America, with a hardworking people. Good descriptions are in earlier definitions. This country is also home to San Oscar Romero de las Americas, who was killed in 1980 for speaking out against violence and abuse of poor people. His example continues to change many lives for the better. Younger Salvis born in the 80s-90s have grown up in both ES and the US and bring many gifts to both countries. We older Salvatruchos/as should support them in getting an education and building values of family, faith, and hope. Much love goes to the young salvadoreños who are struggling, especially those in maras. They need to know that they are loved. Laws in both ES and US need to be changed to help them find a better life. Both the Catholic and Evangelical churches are helping a lot in these efforts. There are also Salvadroran American civic organizations that are doing great work. Any guanaco or latino who has made it in the US has an obligation to stand by the younger generation both here and in our home countries. Special thanks go to the MANY chicanos, mexicanos, and non-latinos who helped our people when we first arrived in the US as refugees in the 70s. Now it's our turn to give back and uplift the new generation. Que Dios les bendiga.

Whenever friends convene to kick back a drink or two, it is often the case that someone will expire before the others. This unfortunate individual, as penance for their crime of being the first to retire, can, and must, be punished for not being able to handle their drink. Thus, they are often desecrated, or celebrated, in various ways. The worst, or perhaps best from the spectator’s perspective, involves genitalia and a digital camera—you get where this is going. When all is said and done, this person typically wakes up without knowing how he or she has bonded with others while they were unconscious. Oddly enough, there are cases where this individual may have the audacity to become irate when they learn about their special experience. In very special cases, the individual will laugh at hearing others tell the story of their moment in the sun; they think that others are speaking of someone else, but they are not! Although such a reaction may be expected, it does not seem appropriate. It is through experiences like this that friendships are born.

Yeah, the Juarenos & constant reminder of Mexico is a bit overwhelming at times. Plus the 100+ temperatures in the summer time is unlike no other but overall that's what makes El Paso, El Paso.
El Paso was established around 1680, thats right ladies, it's one of oldest cities in Texas. Older than San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, & Houston. It is THE Safest City in the country & Ft. Bliss is one of the largest Army complex in the nation. The 1st thanksgiving in America actually happened in San Elizario & has been the central place of Pancho Villa & Billy the Kid.
Also, education wise the United States House Committee on Intelligence is chaired by Silvestre Reyes, the House representative of El Paso. The newly elected Governor of New Mexico Susana Martinez was born & raised in El Paso. UTEP has alumni in the NBA, PGA, PBA, WWF, on SNL, ABC, an Academy Award winner & Olympic Gold Medalist.
As far as all the other people what keep talking about music Vanity Fair had a special on how the Yeah, Yeah, Yeah's, Sleepercar and tons of other recording artists just love El Paso.
FOOD! Yes, El Paso isn't the healthiest cities in America but if you want some tamales, enchiladas or any Mexican food, El Paso blows everyone else out of the water but not only that, we got Smash Burger, Five Guys, Whataburger, Charbroiler, Buffalo Wild Wings, Chico's & a restaurant-to-house ratio of 1:1. Yes, as El Pasoans we love our food.
Lastly to all the people who decided to bash El Paso over the head, yes, I'm a native El Pasoan & I'm proud to say it. I've lived in Washington D.C., I've traveled to Madrid, Paris, London, NY & LA & somehow El Paso is still home. It's the culture & the people, yeah we don't have Palm Tree lined streets & a monument that anybody in the world can recognize but you know what I like it that way. Thats why we're in the Top 25 Drunkest cities in America, but thats besides the fact.
So, if you have a problem with El Paso, just leave because your honestly ruining it for all of us. Go to your humid & dirty San Antonio & just decompose there.
