The mindset among people who have abandoned physical media in favor of streaming services like Netflix and Prime Video, where if a movie is not on any streaming services and is inaccessible outside dvds or piracy, it might as well be lost media. Named after the 2005 film Hoodwinked! which has been called Lost Media by users on Twitter

The erroneous classification of a piece of media as "lost" when it is merely extant and unavailable on mainstream streaming platforms.
Many people online labelled a game as "lost media" even though it just wasn't available on Steam or Epic. You can just grab it from your local video game retailer. This is what's called the Hoodwinked Effect.
A theoretical psychological phenomenon proposing that individuals, regardless of intelligence, moral awareness, or ethical education, are inherently predisposed to commit morally questionable or harmful acts under certain circumstances.
