5 0

A heads up offered by a look out that an invidual not down with, adapted to acceptance of, or directly invovled with the groups illegal activity, such as the buying or selling of illegal drugs, is approaching. The invidual is a stranger and without right or reason to be there, even if the place is public, as it is gang territory.

5 0 call is offered without regard to whether the stranger is or is not a member of law enforcement; it is determined soley on trust i.e. whether that person is cool in the cultural sense, not the popular sense.

Example 1: A citizen walks through an area of illegal activity where they don't live or are not know.
The look out yells, "5 0 fool."

5-0

Originally a slang term for cops that drove 5.0 liter 302 cubic inch V8 Foxbody Mustangs from the 80's-00's even though the Foxbody Mustangs ended production in 1993. Now it's just a slang term for cop.

Oh crap, the 5-0 is chasing us in a Mustang.

Johnny 5 0

Whereas 5 0 refers to the police generally, Johnny 5 0 is slang for a specific cop- as in, the 5 0 are on their way to arrest you, but Johnny 5 0 is the guy who actually puts you in those cuffs.

I was walking down the street minding my own business, when Johnny 5 0 popped up outta nowhere and asked me for my ID. Naturally, I got the fuck outta dodge as fast as I could.
