A person who is interested in/attracted to the idea of anthropomorphic animals.
The furry subculture is stereotypically associated with only wearing elaborate ‘fursuits’, however it is argued that there are different tiers of furry.
Some furries show some interest in the subculture and partake in the communities. This could be an attraction to a cartoon anthropomorphic animal, or simply liking furry art. However there are some hardcore furries, whom will most likely own a fursuit and have a fursona. Some individuals believe themselves to be non-human and do not identify as anything other than the animal they are portraying. Sometimes they even engage in sexual activity, which in the furry fandom is known as yiff.
Some furries can often be identified by their actions, and habits. Some examples of furry behaviour is making animal noises, partaking in furry communities, showing interest in furry orientated games and even mentioning furry related things as casual conversation.
Furry is often used as an insult, however to those in the furry fandom it is a way of life.

“Xenev brought a new fursuit the other day. He is officially a furry. Him and tifsar will be engaging in yiff tonight”

To be a fan of or largely intrested anthropomorphic creatures, furries can often be seen in animal costumes dressed as foxes or wolfs aswell as other animals they're often discriminated against largely due to the odd nature of the fandom. Some people believe being a furry will lead to a form of beasteality because of the more sexual side of the fandom often containing porn of comic animals with anatomically correct genetalia which is concerning to say the least.

A person that most likely identifies as an animal, or a soy sauce packet. This in some cases is not true. Some are known as cosplayers that dress up like animals.
A furry cosplays as an animal of choice.
A subculture of people who are typically interested in anthropomorphism. There are three types:
Tier 1- Mildly interested. Probably don't own a fursuit. Like furry art and stories. Make up about 90% of furry population.
Tier 2- Highly interested. Most likely own a suit and have a fursona. A little weird, yes, but there are weirder things. Usually harmless, very social. Make up about 6% of furry population.
Tier 3- The general idea of furries to ignorant people. Those who take it too far. Believe themselves to be nonhuman and sometimes engage in sexual activity. It is this tier that began the negative portrayal of furries. Perhaps 4% make up the furry population.
That is all. And no, I'm not a furry, nor am I a furry hater.
A furry is a person who has an affinity for animals, but furries are often portrayed as bestial lowlifes, a sad stereotype that has unfortunately grown in the past few years.

n. An anthropomorphic animal that has a basic human body structure (stands upright, arms, legs, hands, ect.). Typically funny animals are considered a separate thing as they are used almost solely for humour only and are not portrayed as either serious beings, plausible, or science fiction/fantasy creatures. There is still a fine line between the two definitions.
Those otters with human-like arms and legs in that drawing are furries.

A disease that make the infected happy by giving them a hobby that make them look like zoophiles even tho the animals look like humans and animals. Then the disease kill them by attracting an anti-furry with a gun that will shot the furry (it's pretty rare).
The disease can spread in many ways:
Cartoons/animes
Internet interactions
IRL interactions
Expositions to furry drawings.
Ethan:"It's seems thaat i'm a furry since april."
Nathan: "Please stop interacting with me i don't want to be a furry"
*Some month later*
Nathan : "I have become a furry, Ethan"
Ethan : "UwU"
