Low Frequency Bootilator

This is actually taken from a record- it was a bootleg of the rave classic "Low Frequency Oscilator" which (as it was a bootleg) became "Low Frequency Bootilator". It was bootlegged by a UK/ Australian breaks producer called Friendly and released in 2003.

He then went on to call a few other bootlegs "Low Frequency Bootilators", and some other producers cashed in trying to associate themselves with the original bootleg. The deejay mentioned in your previous definition is probably one of these people trying to cash in- it has nothing to do with him.

Higher Frequencies

The state of mind a person is in when s/he is so stressed or angry that s/he might scream a scream so high that only a dog could hear it. Also to be in a state of mind where every little sound is like nails on a chalkboard. The place one finds one's self after one's last nerve has been worked. Typically plural.

"Getting cut-off on the road three times today has sent me into the higher frequencies".

I'll be monitoring your frequency.

A cheesy way of saying "I love you" from the new Star Trek movie.

"Since you're Vulcan and can't express any emotion and this is the 22nd century with all this techy stuff and 'I love you' is used too much as it is I guess I'll be monitoring your frequency."

Variable Frequency Drive (VFD)

A variable-frequency drive (VFD, or adjustable-frequency drives, adjustable-speed drives, variable-speed drives, AC drives, micro drives, inverter drives, or drives) is a type of AC motor drive (system incorporating a motor) that controls speed and torque by varying the frequency of the input electricity. Depending on its topology, it controls the associated voltage or current variation.

Lost frequencies is a phrase used to describe one’s state of confusion in a conversation. It indicates the person lost track of the conversation, and/or was not paying attention.

Sorry. . I was on lost frequencies. Could you repeat that?

Bella: "hey how're you doing"
