Background: This word was originated by myself on August 13,1994 in Ganges, B.C. Canada. It is based on a person who I worked with at the time who exhibited all of the above traits. I started describing things that I thought resembled or embodied Kent's behaviour as 'Kent'. Interestingly enough I was able to incorporate the term into the everyday language of a large number of people who had no idea who 'Kent' was. I have since heard it used in the U.S. and Canada by people I have no connection to. The original Kent never understood why people used his name to describe things and probably decided, in his mind, that they were complimenting him.
