a term used in off road desert racing to describe the act of bumping into another race vehicle from behind to let them know you would like to pass and they refuse to move out of the way.

I was following in that guys dust and he wouldn't pull over so I had to nerf him out of the way.

In video games, to nerf an item is to decrease it's power and effectiveness in hopes of making a game more fair.It is used of the name of a toy gun company called Nerf, which sells toy blasters that shoot out soft foam darts.

The m16 was awesome at all ranges until they nerfed it.Now I cant hi a single thing with it, and every time I somehow do, I end up mildly tickling the guy I shot at.
