The word paki is a derogatory term. The same way black people were called the n word many years ago. People of south Asian decent were called the p word (paki)
Although some people today donβt want to accept that their ancestors may have been the one who put other peopleβs ancestors in pain and misery. And therefore feel like using the term paki is ok although it definitely is not. And the use of it by non South Asians has sent people to court in the past in the UK. The word isnβt looked as a bad word because it refers to Pakistanis itβs referred to bad as it is racist and anyone who says it could be looked at as a racist.
