The Dreamcast was a very good 128 bit video game system. It did die early, but it was still very fun to play and it had some awesome hardware packed into it. The Dreamcast had great games. People wish it was still alive today, and any person who had any real knowledge would know it was a great system. Some people say "Oh it was just some lousy hunka junk". It really wasn't and they are dumb people.
"D00D like come over to my house and we can play some video games on my Sega Dreamcast!"

The SEGA Dreamcast was one of the last successful launches in the history of SEGA. With the biggest launch library (USA) of 24 games at intial launch, it was also internet ready with games that meekly used it, but later on was used for gaming itself. Some games on it, if not most, were mere ports from the SEGA Saturn to the Dreamcast due to the death of the Saturn (Including Shenmue). To date, Dreamcast is still strong in many people's hearts, but because of bad decisions and lack of faith in their followers, SEGA decided to withdraw from the hardware biz.
Sega Dreamcast, with its 24 game launch, and its online capabilities, make it a match for any of the others competitors.

Most of us hate Sega because we actually owned and LIKED playing the games on its consoles (most of SEGA's games rock), but then got screwed over because we bought the consoles just before;
(a) the company ceased support for that particular console in order to concentrate on whatever new project they would eventually fail, or
(b) the company bailed out of the console business just to cover its debts from Example A.
We aren't SEGA haters because we think the company makes mediocre-quality games. We're SEGA haters because we wasted our valuable cash investments buying product failures from the company over and over again.

The North American version of the Sega Mega Drive. Sega's Genesis was released in 1989 and competed with Nintendo's old 8-bit video game system and the Turbo Grafix 16 (a 8-bit system with two processors). The best competition for the Sega Genesis would come from the Super Nintendo, who would have a higher resolution and more advanced sound chip, but the Sega Genesis was still able to compete and sometimes out do the newer Super Nintendo, partly due to the fact the Sega Genesis had about twice the processing power as the Super Nintendo.
The Sega Genesis blasted life and existance on to your TV like an electronic Big Bang

One of the best consoles to live, had games such as Shenmue 2 which still sells for the Xbox, a 'next generation' console today. A lot of other titles including sonic adventure, are on 'next generation' consoles. ยฃ25 in gamestation

Jason: Let's go to Joe's house and play Super Mario Brothers.
Patrick: No, he's a Sega kid so we'll have to play Altered Beast.
