A common catch phrase used in the popular classic cartoon "Pepe Le Pew" of Looney Tunes. The cartoon would feature a skunk inevitably falling for a cat who always seemed to get a strip of white pants on her otherwise completely black body...giving said feline the appearance of a female skunk. Pepe would hop around (literally hopping) trying to woo the extremely hesitant (understatement) kitty.
The phrase "le sigh" was often followed with a "le purr" in the series.
Many little blogging junkies have taken this saying and put it to their own usage to describe the feeling of dejection, apathy, dreaminess, etc. Sadly, most do not know the origin of the phrase. Even so, it is still a quite useful and popular term.
Sad Blogger: "Le sigh, I got dumped today."
Apathetic Blogger: "Le sigh, I am so bored."
Dreamy Blogger: "Le sigh, So-and-So is so sweet."

When you emit a long, deep, audible breath in order to express disappointment, acceptance of a stereotype or inability to explain your recent actions in hopes that your colleagues will no longer care about your stupidity.
Person 1: Dude, how good was that asian food we had last night?
Person 2: It was awesome and tasted great. So glad to finally find somewhere that respects my Korean roots and is run by real asians with authentic food.
Person 1: Agreed. Remember when the owner called you out for not being a real asian?
Person 2: "Monteiro Sigh"
When you love someone and talk about them or see them, the sigh that results is called a LOVE SIGH.
You could love sigh all the time and not even know it, because this is a new word brought to you by Alessandra and Kimmy.
Ryan: so did you see Alessandra yesterday?
Matt: yeah. **love sigh**

A sigh of great exasperation and restlessness often exhibited during the onset of senioritis.
When your laptop or computer makes a loud breathing noise when loading a page or attempting to process something. Can be embarrassing if it sighs during class.
Low Tech Dude: "That what noise is?"
You: My highly sophisticated machine is thinking, or computer sighing.
Low Tech Dude: "Mean what that does?"
A comment written in one’s status box (e.g. MySpace, Facebook or other similar social networking web sites), or other publicly visible area to generate sympathy, attention and/or reaction from one’s internet friends. The statement must be vague, yet rife with emotion (see also, Emo) in order to generate the appropriate level of attention or sympathy.
Examples of Internet Sighs, include, but are not limited to:
• “Sometimes I wonder if it’s worth it?”,
• “That’s it, I give up!!!”,
• “Does (s)he think I’m stupid???”,
• “I hate (wo)men”
Note that the use of three exclamation points or question marks indicates the need for an immediate response. Repeating similar comments will continue until one gets the desired response.
When something so fucked up happens, you just don't even fucking care anymore.
