wears sketchers

If someone does something that another person does not approve of, or said person makes a comment against a popular trend or the consensus of a majority, the opinion or credibility of that person may simply be thrown out by stating that they "wear sketchers," implying that they are not in a position to make a proper judgment on the particular subject being discussed.

Person 1: "Hey, did you hear Jim today? He said that the BCS system is fine the way it is!"

Person 2: "Nah, man, he's a fool. That clown wears sketchers."

Skank wear

Highly revealing female clothing, often involving clingy fabrics such as leather, denim and lycra, used to reveal / emphasise as much of the body as possible. Usually, particular emphasis is placed on cleavage, the lower torso (exposed belly buttons are common), buttocks and legs. Frequently combined with fuck me pumps. Owing to it's frequent appearance in adult entertainment (strippers, pornstars, prostitition etc) as a form of tantalisation, frequently leaves the wearer open to the accusation of promiscuity and being a whore, slut and / or skank.

I see Kelly's rocking the skank wear tonight. No doubt she'll be sucking some stranger off before too long.

wearing a stripe

To have a rank of some significance in an organization, to have ascended above the rank-and-file members of the group, and have more responsibility and more status.

Joe used to be an unpaid intern, but when Gus left, Joe got promoted and now he's wearing a stripe.

Chris Moltisanti used to be a little shitheel till he got made. Now he's wearing a stripe.
